Within the wake of the tragic death of trailblazing digital music producer SOPHIE in January 2021, the late artist’s buddies and collaborators have launched a fundraising effort for Transgender rights.
The marketing campaign—an artwork public sale known as God Is Trans—will elevate cash for the Trans Justice Funding Project, a community-led fundraising initiative geared toward justice and equality for Trans individuals across the globe.
Among the many gadgets up for bidding: an Eckhaus Latta white silk costume, pictures by Renata Raksha and Zoe Chait, and quite a few authentic artwork works together with a print by SOPHIE’s ‘It is OK To Cry’ music video director Nick Harwood.
“As buddies and collaborators of Sophie’s within the US, we’ve got organized this on-line public sale and sale of editions to honor her radical generosity, inventive imaginative and prescient, and dedication to the trans neighborhood,” stated the organizers in an announcement shared on the God Is Trans webpage.
